Terms
Short, and meant to be read.
What you are reading
This site republishes figures from the Consumer Price Index, a statistical series published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Those figures are price indexes for whole areas. They are not prices at any particular store.
Information, not advice
The figures are provided for information. They are not financial, shopping, business or investment advice, and they are not a recommendation to buy or not to buy anything.
No warranty
The pages are provided as they are. We take care to copy each figure from the record named in the page's source line, but we cannot promise that the site is free of errors or always available. The Bureau of Labor Statistics may revise figures after publication, and this site does not republish those revisions automatically.
Using the site
You are welcome to read these pages and to link to them. Please do not present the figures as your own data, and do not suggest that this site is connected to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics or to any retailer.
Trademarks and affiliation
